During this experiential retreat/training you will:

  • Integrate cutting-edge nutritional science, neuroscience and positive psychology for wellness and/or recovery.
  • Discover how epigenetics and the microbiome-gut-brain axis impact behavior.
  • Experience evidenced-based practices that promote neuroplasticity and heart reconnection.
  • Learn which food choices optimize brain physiology, cognitive function and mood, and participate in hands-on culinary demos and tastings of healing foods
  • Recognize and replace prevailing paradigms around food, medicine and healthcare that may be derailing your clients' quest for wellbeing and contentment.
  • Receive instructional materials to use with your clients.
  • Engage in daily mind-body practices and informal small group discussion.

The Retreat/Training
Our retreat begins Tuesday evening, October 17 with a relaxed meet-and-greet followed by dinner and evening program. Each day you'll enjoy gourmet organic breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner in a beautiful dining room overlooking the Monte Sol and Atalaya mountains, with the Ortiz and Sandia mountain ranges in the distance.

The food at IHM is scrumptiously veggie-centric with local dairy and meat options. The program ends around 3 pm on Friday, October 20. If you register by September 1, there will likely be the option to stay for 1 or 2 extra nights at the retreat center, so you can enjoy more of beautiful Santa Fe!

The Venue
The Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) Retreat and Conference Center is one of Santa Fe's hidden treasures! Nestled in the pinon-covered foothills of the Rocky Mountains, with the great peaks of the Sangre de Cristos as a backdrop, rising to 12,000 feet, this is a place where you can cultivate the richness of life and spirit.

The IHM center is minutes from Santa Fe's finest attractions, including markets, restaurants and galleries. The Albuquerque International Sunport is just 1 hour away, World Famous Canyon Road Historic Santa Fe Plaza Gorgeous Mountain Views

* Retreat Cost includes full program, dinner Tuesday through Thursday, breakfast and lunch Wednesday through Friday. All day healthy snacks Wednesday and Thursday.

The bedrooms at IHM are pleasant and sunny with a lovely breeze. Each room has its own private bathroom. If you wish to stay outside the retreat center, suggestions for other lodging can be sent upon request.

Registration
For this small, exclusive training with Joan, payment in full is due at the time of registration to secure your spot. The tuition includes a $175 non-refundable administrative fee.

Please Note: We request notice of cancellation at least 45 days prior to the retreat. A refund (less the administrative fee) will be issued if a participant chooses to withdraw before September 1. After September 1, 50% of registration fee (less the administrative fee) will be refunded through September 15.

Late Cancellation: When cancelling after September 15 no refund will be given.

CE Credits
Attendees who participate in the full program (Tuesday evening - Friday afternoon) are eligible to receive 20 CE credits. Click HERE for more information.
